2AM Members Reassure Fans That The Group Has Not Disbanded

Have no fears, 2AM is here to stay.

Following the news that only one member of 2AM remains under JYP Entertainment, rumors of the group disbanding spread. However, Jeong Jinwoon and Lim Seulong confirmed that they remain dedicated to 2AM's career as a group, despite being signed to individual entertainment agencies.

All four members of 2AM wrote messages on 2AM's official fancafe on March 26, speaking to fans directly shortly after the announcement of the signing onto other companies.

Jo Kwon, 2AM's leader, wrote a lengthy message that included his apologies, explanation, and hopes for the future.

"The four of us definitely always ranked 2AM at zero [before even one]," Kwon wrote. "Whether it's at the beginning or in present time, 2AM is always happening.  I'm telling you this is not the end."

He also addressed the fact that 2AM has moved agencies multiple times, and apologized for causing fans to worry.

"As always, we support one another," continued Kwon. We have our reasons that are personal and our reasons for 2AM, and there are so many reasons and situations left on the table.  Dealing with those aspects is extremely difficult."

Kwon is the only member of 2AM to remain under JYP Entertainment.

Lim Seulong, who signed onto SidusHQ in order to expand his acting career, wrote a note entitled "This is Lim Seulong."

"There was a lot of confusion and chaos today," he began. "We knew what IAMs [2AM's fans] would go through and it pained us to put you through that. I truly think that, after much thought, we found a way for all of us to be a little happier."

The heartfelt message included him reassuring fans multiple times not to worry.

"Don't worry. My life during my 20's is 2AM, how could  let my life and you guys, who love me so much, go? I know that you're worried about this but do not worry, I am not letting go of music either."

2AM's youngest member Jeong Jinwoon, who signed onto MYSTIC Entertainment, an indie label, said that he had little to say following Jo Kwon's lengthy message and left a short message.

"2AM will never disband," he promised in the middle of his message.

Jeong ended the note with assurances that 2AM loves their fans. "You all know how much we love you, right? It's hard to express this in words... I love you."

Lee Changmin also wrote a message; he had already been contractually separated from the other three members, after staying with Big Hit Entertainment in 2014.

JYP Entertainment confirmed the words of the members, giving the group support despite no longer being the agency of all four members.
