Girls’ Generation Concert Film 'THE BEST LIVE At Tokyo Dome' Tops Oricon's Daily DVD Chart

On Wednesday, the Japanese pop chart Oricon revealed that the Girls’ Generation concert film "THE BEST LIVE At Tokyo Dome" was the number one DVD release in the country.

Filmed last December in front of 50,000 fans, the Tokyo Dome performance was Girls' Generation's first concert as an eight-person group following the departure of founding band member Jessica Jung.

Though "Girls' Generation: THE BEST LIVE At Tokyo Dome" was released on Wednesday, it has been available for pre-order since February. The DVD comes with an 100-page photo book.

Back in January, at a press conference for the Korean TV variety show “Animals,” band member Yuri revealed that Girls' Generation does have plans to release an album in 2015.

“We’ve been working hard to show our more mature selves this year,” Yuri said, according to an article in the publication eNEWS.

On Friday, Girls' Generation will release their latest single, “Catch Me If You Can,” in Korea and Japan.
