A fanmeet is changing how Korean pop concerts will be held in Malaysia.

Malaysian authorities announced that a concert organizer was banned following the events of January 2015, when a video from Korean idol group B1A4's fanmeet in Kuala Lampur went viral. The video showed members of the boy band embracing fans dressed in Muslim garb, and led to religious authorities calling for legal action against both B1A4 and the fans.

The concert organizer of the fanmeet, TGM Events, has been blacklisted for "breaching set regulations," according to the Communication and Multimedia Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek, reported by The Malaysian insider.

In January, the director of Jawi (Federal Territories Islamic Religious Department) requested the women in the video come forward or face arrest. Jawi later said that it south the women to offer them counseling. As of April 6, it is unknown whether the women came forward to meet with Jawi officials.

Due to being blacklisted by the Communication and Multimedia Department, TGM Events will not currently be able to bring Korean acts to Malaysia.

The Communication and Multimedia Department has reportedly added additional guidelines to avoid recurrences of the incident.

Malaysia's state religion is Islam, with more than 60 percent of the population practicing Islam.

Following the events at the B1A4 fanmeet and a video going viral with the claim that B1A4 sexually harassed fans, TGM Events defended the planning of the fanmeet.

"Upon revealing of the parody clip to be acted out,the group members asked and clarified with the selected fans if they were uncomfortable with the activity," TGM Events said in a statement on Facebook. "However, the fans gave consent on stage, in front of a live audience."

The company has not updated its Facebook page since March 28, and has not addressed the blacklisting.
