CNBLUE's Japanese Single 'White' Tops Recochoku Music Chart Ahead Of Official Release

Band CNBLUE will be releasing their ninth Japanese single, “White,” tomorrow.

This single will feature self-composed songs from members Jung Yong Hwa and Lee Jong Hyun. Both worked together to write the title track, “White,” as well.

A total of three songs will be included in the single that has been composed by these two members.

“White” was released online through Japan’s music site, Recochoku last Wednesday and quickly topped both the Recochoku and HMV Korea Asia Daily Chart.

The music video for “White” was released on March 19 through Warner Music Japan’s YouTube page. Fans had differing opinions on the video regarding the style and genre of music.

“Why can’t we be open-minded and learn to appreciate other genres too,” wrote King Murgos in a comment posted on the “White” music video on YouTube two weeks ago.

Others however wished they would have stuck with their usual rock genre.

“I wish they went back to more of a rock style,” wrote YouTube user Prince last Friday.

Along with their new single release, they will also be holding a CNBLUE Spring Live White concert at the Osaka-Jo Hall on April 22 and at the Yokohama arena on April 24-25.

They will also be appearing on TBS “King’s Brunch,” on Saturday as well.

Aside from band promotions, member Jung Yong Hwa recently released his first solo album and is currently on his One Fine Day solo tour of Asia.

Lee Jong Hyun is currently appearing on MBC “We Got Married” as well as other entertainment programs and dramas.
