Apink Announce Plans To Attend Girls Award Fashion Show In Japan

Girl group A Pink has confirmed their attendance for Japan’s Girls Award fashion show on April 29.

Girls Award is a hybrid show that combines fashion with music. They bring in about 30,000 people to show each year, making it one of the biggest events in Japan.

Last year, Big Bang’s Seungri attended the show alongside other popular Japanese artists including Koda Kumi, Verbal, May J and 9nine.

In February, the group released their second single, “Mr. Chu,” in Japan and ranked third on the Oricon Daily Album chart. They quickly moved up to second place one day after its release.

The group released both Korean and Japanese versions of their “Mr. Chu” music video and received a positive response for both.

“Love this song in Japanese and Korean,” wrote user mitsupop posted on the Japanese version of “Mr. Chu’ music video on YouTube three weeks ago.

Others commented that this was one of their favorite Japanese songs.

“The only Japanese song I like out of the many songs that are out there,” wrote Oji Nguyen two weeks ago.

Last month, they held a concert in Singapore at the Max Pavilion and met with 3,000 of their fans.

They have proven to have strong ticket power sales as their concert in January also sold out of tickets for a 7,000 seat location.
