Novak Djokovic Celebrates Miami Open Win With Baby Stefan And Wife Jelena Ristic: World Number One Cuddles Son After Andy Murray Game

Novak Djokovic celebrated his Miami Open win with his baby Stefan back at home. His wife Jelena Ristic was also there to congratulate him in managing to uphold his world number one spot. Maybe this kind of behavior will set the tone for what Andy Murray has coming soon - his wedding!

Having that smile from his baby son may have made Novak Djokovic’s day that much better.

The world number one posted on Twitter a picture of him playing with his baby Stefan and captioned it: “This little buddy is my most precious trophy! No better way to end the day than with my family :) #NoleFam.”

It looks like his son is much more precious to Novak than Miami Open title or his triumph over Andy Murray.

Novak Djokovic may have just had his first baby with Jelena Ristic this past fall, but that doesn’t mean that the world number one is slacking on his career. In fact, with Miami final coming up, in which he will have to defeat Andy Murray, Novak Djokovic may be focusing on his career more than ever.

According to Tennis X, the world number one said that his schedule of play this year will remain unaffected by his baby son or his wife.

“Well, the schedule is going to be more or less the same,” the new father said. “Of course this year I also committed to play Davis Cup. I played opening week in the season in Doha, so maybe I played a few more weeks more. But it’s just the beginning of the season. Of course my plans are to be in the biggest events in sport that we have in Grand Slams, 1000 events, plus Monte‑Carlo and few other 500 events.

“But I don’t know what the next day brings. I hope I can stay healthy and I can play well on the big tournaments so I don’t need to play other tournaments,” he added. “I have been very fortunate to be consistently successful in the big events over the course of last five, six years, which allowed me to play with the schedule the way it suits me the best.”

But it is nice to see the world number one returning home to spend much deserved time with his baby son.

The world number 1 is not just at the peak of his career, but also at the peak of his personal life. According to News.au.com, Novak sees balancing fatherhood and career a welcome challenge in his life.

“Having a child changes a lot,’’ he told the publication.

“It is the most beautiful thing that has happened to me and I feel fulfilled in every sense. In terms of my tennis approach, not much has changed, but now even more so I have motivation and added inspiration to play good and maybe have the opportunity one day for my son applauding and supporting me on the stands of the Australian Open, why not?”

The fact that he has his baby and wife to go back to at the end of the day has been a boon to his career as well. “A day off is spending time with my wife and baby as much as I can,’’ he said according to News.au.com.
