While a lot of people are surprised by the surprisingly suburban house that “New Girl” actress bought, seeing how she and her to-be husband Jacob Pechenik are expecting their first baby, the choice may not be so strange!

According to Los Angeles Times, “New Girl” actress “bought a home for $4.569 million in the tightknit community popular with sports stars and celebrities but where it’s tough to keep a secret.”

All her fans have been surprised to see that the Manhattan Beach house is not near the coast or have amazing amenities like usual celebrity houses have.

It looks like Zooey Deschanel and Jacob Pechenik’s priority is to have a cozy place for their baby.

Meanwhile, they also have been busy ignoring her ex husband Ben Gibbard’s allusions toward his relationship with ‘New Girl’ star. Seeing how the new couple is ready to share some baby news, not paying a lot of attention to Death Cab for Cuties singer makes sense!

To do so, Zooey Deschanel and Jacob Pechenik are making sure that they are not giving too many interviews to the public about their baby to come!

According to Diffuser.fm, her ex husband Ben Gibbard made this comment about his new songs.

“The person I’m singing to is an amalgamation of people I came across living in Los Angeles,” he said. “Being around people in entertainment who are fairly well-known, I noticed all these neuroses and psychoses.”

Sounds like he is trying to somehow reach out towards ‘New Girl star.

According to E! Online, she and “her fiancé Jacob Pechenik stepped out Tuesday night for a casual dinner near their hometown of Studio City, Calif. Wearing white pants and an oversized blue coat with gold buttons, the New Girl star was able to conceal any signs of a noticeable baby bump when entering SunCafe around 7:30 p.m.”

Their date night veered on the romantic side, according to sneaky eye witnesses. They said that “the twosome couldn't help but display a whole lot of PDA during their dinner.”

"Zooey was glowing and radiant," an eyewitness revealed to E! News after spotting the couple holding hands across the table. "They looked so in love."
