Rome Raises Concerns About C-Clown's Future After Cryptic Tweet and Purging Instagram
An apology on Twitter and the deletion of pictures on Instagram by one Korean idol has ignited departure and disbandment rumors for C-Clown.
Rome, the eldest member of six-member boy band C-Clown, purged his Instagram account and wrote a message to fans on Twitter on April 21. The singer also changed his Twitter accounts name to his English name, Christian Yu, signifying a potential break from his identity as C-Clown's Rome.
Due to the changes and message, C-Clown's future as a six-member idol group appears unclear.
"I apologize to the fans , I really do! But I tried..I really did! It's jus[t] too hard now ! Dw [don't worry] y'all" Rome tweeted on April 21.
The words led to fans tweeting about his potential departure from C-Clown, or the group's disbandment due to no major hits since C-Clown debuted in 2012.
Rome also deleted all of the images from his Instagram account, where he had previously updated fans regularly.

Neither Rome nor C-Clown's company, Yedang Entertainment, have confirmed any rumors or offered an explanation for Rome's actions and apology. Both Yedang Entertainment and C-Clown's official Twitter accounts still follow Rome.
Along with being a member of C-Clown, Rome has experience as a music video producer and began his own company, DPR. He was previously in charge of producing much of the content on C-Clown's official YouTube channel, including the idol group's "Crown The Clown" variety series.
C-Clown last made a comeback in 2014 with the song "Let's Love," but has had few promotions as a group since the beginning of 2015.
Fans of Rome tweeted messages of support to the idol, even while worrying about the group's future.
"Hang in there man no matter what you do just remember you have my support," wrote @JoyceOMGNINJAS.
"I don't know what's really happening now," said @cclown_arab, a fan account for C-Clown's Arab fanbase. "But you will always have my support no matter what happens."
