Nicole Prepares For Japanese Debut And Solo Track Release In June

Former KARA member Nicole will be debuting her new solo track in Japan in June, pushing back what was expected to be an April debut.

Nicole had revealed that she will be holding her first solo stage in Japan on April 22 at the KCON 2015 Japan X M! Countdown event, but music website Oricon Style reports that Nicole will only be able to reveal her first Japanese single in late June.

"Nicole will be starting official promotions in Japan. She will be releasing her debut single in Japan on June 24," said Oricon Style, reports Allkpop.

This should give Nicole a couple of months more to prepare for her Japanese debut song, "Something Special", which is reported to express the experience of first love and use a lot of arm choreography.

Nicole had expressed some concern about returning to Japan but this time as a solo artist instead of a member of KARA, a group she left last year along with member Jiyoung. Nicole has been pursuing solo activities while Jiyoung is focusing on her studies.

"Going to Japan for the first time in a while! I'm so nervous," Nicole had said on her Instagram earlier this month.

Nicole looks to expand her fan base as a solo artist overseas after holding a domestic comeback in Korea in November 2014 with the single "MAMA" and solo mini-album First Romance.

Aside from amassing Japanese fans, Nicole has been interacting with her Chinese fans through a Weibo account opened last month, updating the account with her photos and messages.
