Big Bang, INFINITE, Beast: Male K-Pop Idols Prepare May Releases

"M" stands for male May K-pop comebacks.

The month of May will be filled with K-pop men, after three top Korean pop acts announced comebacks or releases from solo artists. Big Bang, INFINITE, and BEAST will all have members or the entire group active. Big Bang will make its first comeback in three years, while one member from each BEAST and INFINITE will introduce solo releases.

BEAST's Hyunseung will debut as a solo artist, INFINITE and INFINITE's Kim Sung Kyu will release music, and Big Bang will make its first comeback as a group in three years.

YG Entertainment's male idol group Big Bang will release a series of "Made" singles throughout May-September. The quintet will begin the project by releasing "Loser" and "Bae Bae" on May 1.

On May 8, BEAST's vocalist Jang Hyunseung will release his first solo mini album "I'm The First." Hyunseung previously released two albums as part of the project unit Trouble Maker, alongside 4MINUTE's HyunA.

INFINITE's leader Kim Sung Kyu is set to release his first album as a solo artist, three years after the release of his first solo album, "Another Me." The upcoming album is named "27," with songs based on Kim's first 27 years of life. The release date is as of yet unknown.

Along with Kim's solo album, in March INFINITE's company Woollim Entertainment announced a May comeback teaser "7 In 1" for the idol group.

Other male K-pop acts will also be releasing music in May 2015, including the long-awaited debut of Pledis Entertainment's latest boy group, Seventeen, on May 2.
