'Five Nights at Freddy's 4' Theory Causes Chaos At Virginia Pizzeria

"Five Nights at Freddy's" may be huge among PC gamers and anyone who spends more than 10 hours a day on the internet, but its popularity is ever increasing. It will likely be exponential by the time the film version is released.

Unfortunately, even the smaller amount of "Five Nights at Freddy's" fans currently in existence are getting a bit out of hand.

After "Five Nights at Freddy's 4: The Final Chapter" was announced, fans began to hunt for clues in the code on his website. After finding the repetition of the numbers eight and seven, some fans predicted that the new installment in the series would explain the "Bite of 87." Other fans took this repetition of numbers and punched it into google maps, only to find that it actually linked to a "Family Pizzeria" in Virginia.

Most fans stopped there but others began harassing the restaurant, ultimately leading to Scott Cawthon being forced to issue a plea for fans to stop contacting them.

"The number sequence was a coincidence, nothing more. I've said this before; there are NO phone numbers associated with this game. Please do not try to call phone numbers that you think you have found hidden; you will only call businesses and homes that have no idea what you're talking about. Thanks," wrote Cawthon on Reddit.

Despite how small it sounds, according to Kotaku, the amount of calls and visits from eager "Five Nights at Freddy's" fans resulted in some very aggravated employees. The moderator of a subreddit thread for "FNAF," SSB4Decoder wrote the following message in regards to the family pizzeria:

"Okay I live right by this place and I have direct confirmation from the owner, this place has nothing to do with 'Five Nights at Freddy's.' The employees told me they're pissed because little kids and crazy theorists like you guys keep calling them asking about Freddy. Please, please, please stop."

In the words of the now somewhat popular meme, this is why we can't have nice things.
