Korean Actor Lee Min Ho Donates Over $90K For Nepal Earthquake Relief

Actor Lee Min Ho donated 100 million Korean won (about US$ 92,300) to Korean Committee for UNICEF's Nepal earthquake relief fund.

A source from Lee Min Ho's agency commented, "Lee Min Ho donated 100 million Korean won to help Nepalese victims and children suffering from the recent earthquake. He donated the money under his fan club's name 'Minoz' to reciprocate his fans' love. He sincerely hopes for those in pain to heal as soon as possible."

Lee Min Ho is known for engaging in many philanthropic activities. Previously in 2009, he participated in UNICEF's campaign against malaria. His global fan club Minoz is also known for doing a list of charity works under Lee Min Ho's name. They donated money during the malaria campaign, provided emergency relief supplies, raised funds to build libraries, and established a "Lee Min Ho Forest" in Chile's Patagonia region when it was hit by a forest fire in 2011.

Last year, Lee Min Ho established a fundraising platform called PMZ to raise money to build wells in Africa, protect endangered animals, and more. Both Lee Min Ho and his fans have constantly practiced kindness toward others.

Korean Committee for UNICEF started raising the relief fund for Nepal within 24 hours of the earthquake, and 80 tons of relief supplies were provided last week. Currently, they're providing dietary supplements, medicines, drinking water, waterproof clothes, blankets, tents, and other supplies to children in Gorkha and Kavre districts outside of Kathmandu.

Meanwhile, Korean Committee for UNICEF already raised and donated US$ 1 million to Nepal, and they will continue their earthquake relief campaign to help Nepalese victims and children.
