Pregnant Zooey Deschanel won't become one of those celebrities who will kill themselves to shed off their post baby weight, as the actress is saddened by the fact that Damon Wayans Jr. will leave "New Girl."

In an interview with Cosmopolitan, Zooey Deschanel weighed in on her pregnancy and her dieting plans after delivering the baby.

"Haven't we all seen those pictures of a sexy new mom in a bikini after one month?" she said. "I will not be that person. I've always gone my own course and never been someone who had the need to be super skinny."

"I like a healthy look. I don't buy into that skinny-is-better mentality. I just eat healthy and work out and don't worry about my weight too much. Actresses aren't models, and most of them never wanted to be," added the "New Girl" star.

It's a good time for Zooey Deschanel to be pregnant, as her sister Emily Deschanel of "Bones" TV series is also sporting a baby bump.

Zooey Deschanel also shared her secret to success. The "New Girl" star said, "I'm very focused. I work all the time, but I do what I love and I don't care what people think of it. You don't become successful by trying to be 'a success.'"

"You become successful by doing things that give you pleasure. That's a hallmark of mine."

Speaking of "New Girl," pregnant Zooey Deschanel lamented the fact that Damon Wayans Jr. is leaving the show.

"It's so sad. We already shot a few episodes for Season 5. And that's when it was clear that Damon was gone," she told LA Times. "It felt like the middle of a season, like we were switching seasons, and it was strange not to have Coach's comedic moments mixed in."

Zooey Deschanel also promised that this season for "New Girl" will have the writers returning to what fans love about Jess.

As the pregnant actress explained, "I think they really did an amazing job this year of having the stories come out of the character flaws."

"I think the golf episode is an example of that, the walk of shame episode. I really liked the one where they go to the funeral. There were a ton of episodes I'm really proud of."
