Amidst rising rumors that Tao will leave EXO, the singer changed his Instagram name from EXO-TAO to Z.Tao.

Previously on April 22nd, Tao's father posted a long message on Weibo implying that Tao will leave EXO, and on April 26th, Tao posted a short comment on Weibo that read, "I'm sorry. Thank you."

Tao celebrated his 22nd birthday this past May 2nd with 150 Chinese fans and film crews of the Chinese movie You Are My Sunshine,  in which Tao makes a cameo appearance. The next day, he posted a photo from the birthday party on his Instagram and wrote, "Thank you to those who believe in me. I love you so much."

However, Tao has not yet released any comments regarding the surrounding rumors, so conflicting speculations are still running wild among his fans.

Meanwhile, the movie You Are My Sunshine featuring the young star was released on May 1st in China.
