CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa Makes Surprise Appearance At JJ Lin Concert In Beijing

SInger and guitarist Jung Yong Hwa of the South Korean pop rock band CNBLUE made a special onstage appearance on Saturday night at Singaporean singer JJ Lin's concert in Beijing, China.

Jung reportedly first met Lin, a Taiwanese vocalist who made her pop debut 12 years ago, back in 2013. She was a featured performer to sing on the song, “Checkmate,” from Jung’s solo album "One Fine Day," released back in January.

Lin, who is currently on her Timeline Genesis World Tour, was performing at Beijing's Mastercard Center, originally known as the Beijing Wukesong Culture & Sports Center.

The duo performed a duet on “Checkmate.” Jung also performed his song, “One Fine Day” and sung on Lin's hit “Practice Love."

The crowd roared in approval.

“Both of them are my favorite singers,” wrote Pandan Harum Mewangi in a post on Monday to the Korean entertainment website Soompi.

Other fans also expressed their hope that the two vocalists would collaborate again.

“Their performance was super fabulous,” wrote Nora Precious. “I want to see them do more of this!”

Jung revealed his gratitude for being able to appear onstage with Lin in a post Saturday to the microblogging website Sina Weibo, considered the Twitter of China.

“Thanks for inviting me to your concert,” he wrote. “I was able to learn a lot from this experience.”
