Get That K-Pop Look: Jung Yeon's All-Star Outfit At 'SIXTEEN' Event

Welcome to this week's Get That K-pop Look, where we showcase an original K-Pop outfit and give you tips on putting together your own similarly styled, affordable outfit.

JYP's new girl group 'SIXTEEN' officially announced its finalists last week, and they did it in style. The new group's outfit felt like a delicious kickback to K-pop style from a few years back. K-pop stars are still risk takers and trendsetters, but a lot of the bigger ones have started sporting looks that are more streamlined, designer outfits that look fantastic in the pages of glossy magazines. But Sixteen debuted with a more street style look, with sporty and slightly mismatched elements that gave the

All of them were drool worthy and inspirational, but we'll focus on one from finalist Jung Yeon. It starts as something that could be worn around the house, but with the addition of a blazer and heels (plus that fierce red carpet realness) ends as something that would stun at a club on a night out.

Keep reading for tips on putting together your own similar outfit.

West Coast Mesh Jersey, $14.90 from Forever 21

We've seen more and more jerseys away from sports stadiums lately. The look is a bit of a throwback to the 80s and is super versatile, as Jung Yeon shows here. Under the blazer (or, for instance, thrown over a sparkly mini skirt with heels) the fitted jersey is the outfit of a sophisticated badass; with a pair of fashionable sneakers and skinny sweatpants, this is a casual outfit with a top that's got more panache than an old t-shirt.

Moto White Daisy Shorts, $40 at Topshop

These shorts have just the perfect amount of daintiness to make the skin-showing less scandalous. Embrace these white booty shorts as summer approaches and cares fly out the window with the pants.

Oversized Open Front Boyfriend Blazer, $25.99 from Charlotte Russe

We've said it before and we'll say it again: if you're the kind of person that hears the word blazer and automatically thinks "hideous shoulder-padded, tweed thing of the 80s,' you need to get out more. A thin, smartly cut, just-the-perfect-red blazer like this one emanates all the class of a traditional blazer with none of the cubicle.

Beatrix White Faux Leather Peep Toe Ankle Boots, $67.50 from PrettyLittleThing

These all-white, bossy heels top off this outfit perfectly. They're crisp, mean business, and have a nice chunky (read: more comfortable) heel, so they're perfect for an entire day and night out on the town.
