Yangpa To Sing South Korean, American National Anthems At Texas Rangers-LA Dodgers Game Next Month

Recording artist Yangpa will appear before baseball fans in Texas next month to sing the national anthems of South Korea and the United States.

Lee Eun Jin, who goes by the stage name Yangpa, will perform at Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas on June 15 in conjunction with the second annual Korean Heritage Night hosted by the Texas Rangers major league baseball team. The Rangers will be hosting the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The 36-year-old singer was invited to sing the two nations' anthems by the Korean residents' association in Dallas, a community group that has been working closely with the Texas team to host the cultural event.

Two of the three South Korean ballplayers currently in the MLB will be participating in the Korean Heritage Night game. Choo Shin Soo plays outfield for the Rangers while Ryu Hyun Jin of the Dodgers is expected to be that team's starting pitcher.

Yangpa debuted in 1996 with the album Novice's Love and has released four other studio albums. Her last release was the 2012 EP Together.

Tickets for the June 15 game are available through the official website of the Texas Rangers.
