Beast's Hyunseung appeared in 1theK's special #hashtag interview show to promote his debut solo album MY. The singer discussed his favorite album track, the songwriting process, and various other topics!

When asked how it feels to promote as a solo artist for the first time, Hyunseung responded, "I feel an unstoppable amount of energy. I don't think my solo album is anything close to ordinary. I personally looked forward to it because I put a lot into this album. I just hope to have fun performing."

Hyunseung also discussed the 'R-Rated' tracks on his album. He explained, "There are two: 'Sexy Joke' and 'I Said I Love You.' For 'Sexy Joke' I tried to make the lyrics witty. It's supposed to be fun, so it doesn't feel awkward. But 'I Said I Love You' is very straightforward. It kind of had me concerned." He revealed that the question that plagued his thoughts was, "What if it sounds too blunt?"

Hyunseung also gave a shoutout to the fans that have stayed by his side since his debut. He stated, "I mean this when I say it, I appreciate the fans when they remain to support me. I don't think I understood this when I first debuted. But as time passes, I realized how long the fans have stayed supportive and that makes me love them that much more."
