Block B, Sorea, Drum Cat And K-Tigers Heat Up Korea MICE & Culture Festival 2015 In Singapore

The Korea Tourism Organisation (KTO) of Singapore held a one-day MICE & Culture Festival at the Fairmont Ballroom & Foyer, Raffles City Convention Centre on May 8, 2015. Visitors and fans of Korean culture enjoyed an afternoon of fun as they had opportunities to participate in a myriad of fringe activities such as Korean cookie tasting, Korean tea-making, hand massages, soap-making, and many more.

Aside from the above-mentioned activities that were free and open to public, a grand finale show was organized during the evening which was exclusive for lucky fans who scored an entry ticket. Several highly-anticipated performances included Korean idol group Block B, taekwondo experts K-Tigers, and female groups SOREA and Drum Cat.

The night performances kicked off with an all-female percussion-instrument band, Drum Cats. Looking chic in tight black outfits, the ladies put up a powerful performance of beats and rhythm.

Next was SOREA, who showed the uniqueness of their group through the fusion of traditional Korean music instruments and modern pop sounds. They did their own rendition of 'Árirang', which impressed the audience.

Following the female stage domination, K-Tigers came on stage and received a warm welcome from fans. Demonstrating their expertise in Taekwondo, the members broke wooden blocks, did somersaults and flips and many other action-packed moves. Their thrilling performances excited K-pop fans present in the audience as they incorporated hit songs such as EXO's 'Óverdose', Hyuna's 'Change' and 2PM's 'Hands Up'.

The final act by Block B was undoubtedly the highlight of the night and they made the long wait worthwhile. The boy group performed a total of 4 songs, 'Her', 'Unordinary Girl', 'Very Good' and 'Nice Day'. Good things eventually come to an end, and so did Block B's performance. Their energetic and power-packed show had the crowd screaming from start to end. Before they left the stage, Zico thanked the fans for attending their performance that evening.
