Rock Bands=Social Critique, 'CNBLUE's Music has Taken it Down a Notch?'

Band CNBLUE has always been a true rock group that stayed true to their colors. When we think of rock, we tend to think of breaking the norms and social critique. However, this time around, their music seems a bit softer than normal.

CNBLUE's passion for music shows that they don't just merely play music, but feel and care for it very seriously. Their most recent album, Re:BLUE, was self-composed by the members. Their jacket photos that were shot in the U.K. also added to their honest and genuine passion for music and wanting to succeed.

When asked about their rather soft rock sound, the members replied:

Jung Yong Hwa: "It is understandable to think that. However, if this is the music that are feeling now, I don't think it's necessary for us to forcefully create music that will bring critique and break the norms. We are happy now. However, if we were able to create an album with 10 songs, maybe we could add some different more hardcore styles of music too."

Kang Min Hyuk: "The question we get the most is, 'What type of music do you want to do' and 'What is your favorite genre of music'. Since we are all still young, I don't think it's possible for us to choose one specific genre. To be tied down to one genre at this age would be too sad."

Lee Jung Shin: "Some people might think we have no color, but if you listen to the album, you will notice that all the differences in it is our color."

CNBLUE has revealed to us that confidence does take us far. CNBLUE is now preparing for their world tour, which will be a first for a korean band.
