Robin Roberts Will Return to 'Good Morning America' on February 20 [VIDEO]

Robin Roberts is to return as the co-anchor of ABC's "Good Morning America" after making a full recovery from bone marrow transplant.

Roberts diagnosed with MDS, myelodysplastic syndrome, a rare blood disorder, in 2012 took a leave and went back home. She contracted the illness as a delayed side effect from breast cancer treatment several years earlier.

The "Good Morning America" Thursday made the official announcement stating she received the clear go from her doctors. Stating she began a series of dry runs in the studio.

Roberts herself also shared on ABC News blog stating, "I'm excited to re-join my wonderful 'GMA' family. I'm also looking forward to thanking YOU ... for your many prayers and well wishes. Your compassion has been an enormous source of comfort to me and my family."

She added, "I'm heading to the beach for the next week to reflect and give thanks for my many blessings. Light Love Power Presence...XO."

The news of Roberts return to the job was also shared by colleague and co-worker George Stephanopoulos on Twitter, "Welcome back Robin!!! Big day Feb. 20!!!"
