2PM Push New Release Back To Mid-June After Experiencing Production Delays

2PM has delayed their comeback schedule to mid-June amid persistent production issues with their music video, reports Koreaboo.

JYP Entertainment issued a statement that the group will be staging their comeback sometime in the middle of next month but without pinning an exact date.

"The filming dates for the music videos are still being finalised. We will be filming soon and will eventually set their comeback," JYP Entertainment reportedly told Newsen.

While the group has pushed back the release of new music, the promise of a mid-June comeback could be seen as a minor win for fans that might have been worried that the delays could mean months instead of only weeks.

On May 11, JYP Entertainment began revealing hiccups in 2PM's comeback preparations. Two directors hired for 2PM's comeback music videos cancelled their shoots without warning, which made it impossible for the group to deliver on their promised music video release on June 1.

The 2PM delays have caused quite a shuffle in boy band-related comebacks. 2PM was supposed to go head-to-head against Big Bang with both groups dropping a new music video on June 1. Big Bang appears to be pushing ahead with the release with member Seungri already hyping the track called "A".

Another JYP Entertainment boy group and 2PM's labelmate juniors, GOT7, were also affected by the director cancellation problems, and are thus expected to push back their comeback timeline as well.
