SHINee Members On Youthful Expression And Why 'View' Was Chosen As Title Track For 'Odd' Promotions

Whether it's Reddit AMAs, impromptu concert questions, or fan events, nothing beats being able to chat with your favorite artist without the structure of a formal interview getting in the way.

Because after all, you can't count on a journalist to ask a silly questions about eating and sleeping habits.

After the successful release of their fourth studio album "Odd," SHINee sat down to participate in 1theK's "Ask in Box" interview. Fans from all over the world sent in their questions for the five member K-pop group and the boys answered questions about anything and everything, including their weird habit of sleeping with their mouths open. SHINee fans can check out the interview with English, Japanese, and Chinese subtitles below.

Taemin, the youngest member of SHINee, got the pleasure of explaining how the group chose "View" as the title track for their new album.

"There's a story about how we chose "View" as the title song. At first, we had four candidates for the title song. As a group, we decided amongst ourselves," explained Taemin.

Jonghyun further clarified the reason for choosing "View."

"The Title song was chosen carefully by the members via voting. We tried to focus on expressing youth rather than masculinity. We also tried to focus on showing a freewheeling style that matches our age," said Jonghyun.

It would of course make sense that Jonghyun, who wrote the lyrics for "View," would best be able to express the concept of the song. The music video for "View" currently has over 2 million views on YouTube, so it's clear that fans are enjoying the title track choice for "Odd" just as much as the group members.

Now that SHINee has completed their concert and album release, the boys will be performing "View" on music shows, M! Countdown, Music Bank, and Inkigayo, over the weekend.
