Girls' Generation's Taeyeon has ditched her dark tresses for a bold new blond look.

The idol leader showed off her new platinum white hair color on Instagram.

In the photo, Taeyeon's face was covered with her blond hair but you can still see through her bangs to reveal her large round eyes and pink lips. She also attached a blonde person icon with her photo.

Fans showed their approval for Taeyeon's striking new hair color by giving the Instagram selfie post more than 341,000 Likes. They also left gushing comments like:

"I like the blond! Somehow makes you look more mysterious!" "New hair... perfect. So beautiful. Taeyeon, saranghae <3" and "Beautiful unnie."

Taeyeon's hair color change comes before the Girls' Generation's planned comeback in June. This is their first comeback as a group with only eight members after Jessica left last year. The girls will be putting out their fifth full length Korean album following 2013's I Got A Boy.

Taeyeon has also been reported to be preparing for her solo debut, as well as take part in a subunit comeback for TaeTiSeo, a trio comprising Taeyeon and two other Girls' Generation members, Tiffany and Seohyun.
