Inside is a poweful Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM. Additionaly, a new and improves 21-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a new IMX230 sensor. It will also be Sony's first mobile device to feature a Sense ID fingerprint reader.

Included in the leaked list of specs is a fast charging battery, reportedly capable of a full charge in minutes.

"The most interesting feature that might come is the fast charging battery capabilities, there are rumors that are stating, a phone could be charged in 5 to 10 minutes," says a report on xiperiaz5.com.

The article adds that consumers "might not see Xperia Z5 on the market shelves earlier to August or September 2015."

Android Origin claims that the upcoming smartphone will take inspiration from Sony's Bravia, the company's flagship television model.

"The design is said to draw heavily from the company's recent BRAVIA television sets and will feature a completely clean front end with a frosted glass effect," their report states, adding "the body will be thicker than the Xperia Z3 and Z4, with more angular sides.

According to their sources, "the sides could actually be reminiscent of Sony Ericsson devices from the past," adding the "Xperia Z5 Ultra and Xperia Z5 Compact should also share many of the same design cues as the Z5."

Twitter user Riccolo, who is popular when it comes to predictions of upcoming releases, reportedly shared an image using the new Xperia's new high-end camera. The Twitter post has since been deleted.

To date, Sony has not made any statements regarding the leaked specs.
