Review: Big Bang Explore A Fantasic New Realm With New Singles 'Bang Bang Bang' And 'We Like To Party' [VIDEO]

On Monday, Big Bang released two new songs, "Bang Bang Bang" and "We Like To Party" from their latest single entitled, "A."

"Bang Bang Bang" serves as an auditory transition from the superstar K-pop group's last single "Bae Bae," providing listeners with the opportunity to hear Big Bang at the level of dance-pop delight of past songs like "Fantastic Baby." The track incorporates elements of electronic dance music, trap and K-pop.

While their previous single "Loser," can be viewed as a melancholic view into the quintet, "Bang Bang Bang" commemorates the on-going transition Big Bang has made in their journey to escape the trappings of Korean pop.

YG Entertainment is emerging as the industry leader of Korean dancehall and electronic dance, as the label transitions away from the confines of hip-hop. G-Dragon and Taeyang have slowly moved towards EDM on their solo project GD x Taeyang. On "Bang Bang Bang," the group embodies the sounds of the genre, while avoiding the overuse of drops or dancehall horns.

The song transitions through each genre in a helter-skelter manner, which lends itself to the futuristic treatment of the music video.

Big Bang also released the track, "We Like to Party," with the music video slated for June 5.

Contrary to its title, "We Like to Party" is an uptempo pop track which could easily a Top 40 hit on U.S. radio stations.

It features an infectious chorus that captures the sinful goodness of pop music. The best K-pop songs become earworms and "We Like to Party" continues to loop in your head, hours after listening to it.

Like "Loser" and "Bae Bae" the two songs on the "A" single will be included on Big Bang album "MADE" after each of the songs has been released as a single. Quite an album it is shaping up to be.
