Roy Kim Wins Favorite Foreign Artist At 2015 Taiwan Hito Music Award

Roy Kim won the Favorite Foreign Artist at Hito Music Award ceremony held in Taiwan.

On May 31, Roy Kim attended 2014 HITO Music Award in Taipei, Taiwan. It is one of the biggest music award ceremonies in Taiwan and over 12,000 people attended.

Roy Kim is the first foreign artist outside of Chinese-speaking-countries to win this award. He won this award as his first studio album's "Bom Bom Bom," second studio album's "Home," and soundtrack "Pinocchio" became big hits in Taiwan.

Furthermore, Roy Kim gave a stylish collaboration performance at the music award with Taiwan's most popular singer-songwriter William Wei. Roy Kim sang William Wei's "Hai Shi Hui" in Chinese and William Wei sang Roy Kim's "Bom Bom Bom" in Korean and showed off their harmony.

Roy Kim also gave a live solo performance of "Pinocchio" and drew explosive responses from the audience. "Pinocchio" is a soundtrack of a drama titled Pinocchio and it topped various music charts in Taiwan.

"I'm so happy to be given such a prestigious award," said Roy Kim posted on the Korean news website OSEN on Monday. "I thank all my Taiwanese fans."
