Native American Headdress And G-Dragon Chain Scene Create Controversy In 'Bang Bang Bang' Music Video

Big Bang's latest music video is already going viral online, but "Bang Bang Bang" has not arrived without its share of controversy.

On Tuesday, Big Bang released the first of two songs for the month of June, "Bang Bang Bang." The music video premiere attracted over 100,000 likes within an hour of its release, but along with it, two wardrobe choices in the video is also gaining negative attention.

First, Big Bang member Seungri was singled out for wearing a Native American war bonnet (or headdress), which some thought was culturally insensitive.

Controversy also arose during a scene with G-Dragon, where at a glance, it looked like an African American woman was on a leash.

"Explain to me why the only black person in the music video is on a leash and why Seungri is wearing a war bonnet," commented YouTube viewer 1093loveandbreak.

Other fans quickly pointed out that the woman in question is choreographer Parris Goebel, who worked with Big Bang on the music video. Upon closer examination, G-Dragon and Goebel are chained together at the neck as opposed to a leash being held by the Korean rapper.

Last month, Big Bang came back with "Loser" and "Bae Bae." According to YG-Life, the album featuring the two tracks topped iTunes charts in Hong Kong, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore and Taiwan, and ranked in the top 10 in Sweden, the Czech Republic and Canada.
