Bruce Jenner debuted on Vanity Fair her much anticipated woman persona named Caitlyn Jenner. According to a preview of the story, the former Olympian admitted that he had a panic attack after his recent gender transition.

Bruce Jenner's 22-page Vanity Fair special for July 2015 featured photos taken by Annie Leibovitz. The cover image showed the father-of-six wearing a white corset with his hair in wavy curls.

The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" patriarch also revealed his new name as a female: Caitlyn Jenner.

Bruce Jenner then clarified that his Vanity Fair feature was not about him wanting attention.

"This shoot was about my life and who I am as a person," Bruce Jenner told Vanity Fair.

"It's not about the fanfare, it's not about people cheering in the stadium, it's not about going down the street and everybody giving you 'that a boy, Bruce,' pat on the back."

He then went on to open up about his recently completed gender transition, which reportedly took 10 hours to complete.

"[I thought] 'What did I just do? What did I just do to myself?'" he admitted.

The 65-year-old reality star was then visited by a counsellor from the Los Angeles Gender Center, who explained that such reactions and second-guessing were "human and temporary" and might have been caused by his pain medication.

After being reassured by a counsellor, Bruce Jenner explained to Vanity Fair that he moved forward and got rid of his doubts.

"If I was lying on my deathbed and I had kept this secret and never ever did anything about it, I would be lying there saying, 'You just blew your entire life. You never dealt with yourself,' and I don't want that to happen," he explained.

Prior to Bruce Jenner's Vanity Fair feature as Caitlyn Jenner, a report from Us Magazine revealed that he has dressed as a woman in front of his children.

"It was amazing and she looked beautiful, really beautiful," Kim Kardashian told Access Hollywood's Billy Bush.

"She was dressed up, beautiful makeup, beautiful hair, very, very beautiful and very comfortable."
