Big Bang's 'Bang Bang Bang' Surpasses 2 Million Views Within 12 Hours Of Release

The YouTube view counter for Big Bang's latest song was moving like lightning shortly after "Bang Bang Bang" was released on June 1.

The song "Bang Bang Bang" acheived over two million views on YouTube within 12 hours of the music video getting uploaded to the website. The EDM power anthem is Big Bang's third single to be released in 2015, and is accompanied by a matching single, "We Like 2 Party."

"Bang Bang Bang" is Big Bang's third single of 2015 to achieve multiple millions of views within the first day of release, following the success of May releases "Loser" and "Bae Bae."

For their first comeback since 2012, Big Bang launched the beginning of the "MADE" series on May 1 when they released "Bae Bae" and "Loser." The first of each month between May and September will herald in two new songs from the YG Entertainment idol group.

"Bang Bang Bang" was Big Bang's first June single, and is partnered with "We Like 2 Party." The two songs were released twelve hours apart. The music video for "We Like 2 Party" had not been uploaded to YouTube when "Bang Bang Bang" surpassed two million views. 

While "Bang Bang Bang" achieved two million views quickly, the music video also was accused of cultural insensitivity. The controversy rose due to Big Bang's Seungri visibly wearing a Native American headdress while G-Dragon is allegedly holding a black woman on a chain during the party scene towards the end of the video. 

At the time of publication, approximately 18 hours after release, "Bang Bang Bang" had garnered over 3 million views.

Big Bang's will perform the new songs on June 5 and 6 in Beijing, China at the next two stops of Big Bang 'Made.' The give members will appear on the SBS show  Running Man on June 7.
