Super Junior-M Henry And Yewon Are Leaving 'We Got Married'
On June 2, MBC confirmed the departure of Super Junior-M's Henry and Yewon from the lineup of "We Got Married."
A report published by the Korean outlet TV Report included a statement from MBC. "Henry and Yewon have been confirmed to leave the show, sometime this month," said a representative for MBC. "Song Jae Rim and Kim So Eun will depart around the same time."
The representative was unable to determine the specific date of their final broadcast or departure from the show.
On May 28, MBC confirmed the departure of Song Jae Rim and Kim So Eun.
Henry and Yewon joined the program in March 2015. The couple was surrounded by controversy prior to filming their first episode, due to a scandal involving Yewon and actress Lee Tae Im.
Prior to joining "We Got Married," Yewon was a cast member on the variety program, "My Tutor Friend." In February 2015, she was allegedly involved in a verbal altercation with Lee, during a taping of "My Tutor Friend." According to conflicting reports, Lee cursed and yelled at Yewon while they were filming a diving segment on Jeju Island. Yewon allegedly used informal language towards the actress, who is older than her and has been involved in Korean entertainment for a longer period of time. Yewon denied using informal language.
Eyewitness accounts initially supported claims made by Yewon, which led to the removal of Lee from the cast of "My Tutor Friend" and her early departure from the K-Drama, "My Heart Twinkle Twinkle." In addition to her resignation from both programs, Lee personally issued an apology to Yewon.
On March 27, video footage of the argument was released. The video confirmed statements made by Lee. In the video, Yewon could be heard using informal language with the actress, prompting the incident.
