Korean Broadcasting System Bans Big Bang's 'We Like 2 Party' From Broadcast Due To Profanity, Brand Name References

KBS does not feel like joining the Big Bang party.

The major South Korean television network announced that it will not allow Big Bang's new song "We Like 2 Party" to air after deeming it unfit for broadcast, reports Koreaboo.

Specifically, KBS (Korean Broadcasting System) objected to the song's use of profanity and mentions of brand names.

"We Like 2 Party" is one of the two new songs released by Big Bang as part of their June promotions also known the MADE A Series.

YG Entertainment is reportedly mulling whether it will edit the lyrics of "We Like 2 Party" and submit it for a re-evaluation, according to Koreaboo.

The English translated lyrics for "We Like 2 Party" show mentions of "fearless hotties getting drunk" and the mention of Opus One, a brand of wine from the United States.

The other released song, "BANG BANG BANG", has been allowed for broadcast by KBS, which is one of the so-called Big Three broadcasting giants in South Korea along with MBC and SBS.

The KBS ban might hurt the ranking of "We Like 2 Party" in music shows as television airing contributes points to determine who will win the weekly awards. While "We Like 2 Party" and "Bang Bang Bang" have spiked to the top of the music charts when it was released, the songs face tough competition from EXO's "Love Me Right" and other songs from the SM boy group's freshly dropped repackaged album.
