WINNER's Nam Tae Hyun To Make TV Debut In 'Midnight Diner'

Newsen reported on Thursday that Nam Tae Hyun of YG Entertainment's popular boy band WINNER has been confirmed to appear in SBS's adaptation of Midnight Diner.

Midnight Diner is a remake of the popular Japanese manga and drama by Yaro Abe titled Shinya Shokudo. The story revolves around a restaurant that opens between midnight and 7 a.m. and the different sort people who come there to dine.

Tae Hyun is not new to acting. He recently starred in MBC Every1's first web drama Midnight's Girl where he played the lead, Gong Ji Dan, and started alongside Yerin of G-Friend. In the drama, Ji Dan starts his own karaoke business which earns him the stardom he's always dreamed of achieving.

Midnight Diner, however, marks Tae Hyun's exciting debut on a major broadcast TV network. This time Tae Hyun will be playing Min Woo, a positive and kind customer who comes to the restaurant. Although this is Tae Hyun's first time acting for TV, fans are excited to see what the singer has to offer.

He will be appearing with reputable actors such as Kim Seung Woo (known for his work in dramas like Iris 2 and variety shows such as 2 Days & 1 Night) and Choi Jae Sung (The Great King's Dream).

The drama premiere is scheduled for late June.
