Rachel Bilson remains mum amid all the rumors that she was the main reason why "Hart of Dixie" was cancelled.

Prior to its cancellation, The Hollywood Reporter said, the "Hart of Dixie" was one of CW's the best performing series on Hulu.

"Created by Leila Gerstein, Hart of Dixie had been bounced around the schedule in its third season, where it shifted to Fridays as a midseason entry as the younger-skewing network gave its freshman fare its prime real estate. Season four returned in January with an abbreviated 10-episode run before going on hiatus and returning with its final three episodes in March," it said.

While the decision could be attributed to its low ratings, reports have persisted that "Hart of Dixie" was cancelled because of Rachel Bilson bowing out of the series.

"Rachel Bilson recently gave birth to a baby girl and has decided to spend time with the baby and her beloved husband Hayden Christensen. This decision of hers is seen to be the main reasons for the show getting axed by the network," Day Herald has alleged.

Indeed, Rachel Bilson has made herself scarce while pregnant with her first baby with Hayden Christensen. The couple has been making sure to protect their daughter from the paparazzi.

When Hayden Christensen's partner was photographed while shopping for baby Briar Rose last month, for example, E! News observed that it was a rare occurrence.

"Hart Of Dixie's cancellation comes after Rachel gave birth on October 29 to daughter Briar Rose with husband Hayden Christensen," commented Daily Mail. "Her pregnancy was fit into the story line as Rachel's character Dr. Zoe Hart is expecting a child with her on-off boyfriend Wade Kinsella, played by Wilson Bethel."

To date, Rachel Bilson still has yet to issue a statement after the "Hart of Dixie" got cancelled even if her Instagram is filled with fans egging her to come back to the series.
