SS501 Members Reunite To Celebrate 10th Anniversary

Although some members were missing, a mini reunion took place as SS501 commemorated ten years since debuting as a K-pop act.

Although the group is officially on a hiatus, SS501 (pronounced "Double-S-5-Oh-One") debuted on June 8, 2005 and became one of the most popular groups in South Korea in the late 2000's. Three members celebrated the group's anniversary together.

Kim Hyung Jun and Kim Kyu Jong shared pictures and videos together with Heo Young Saeng on social media, thanking fans for support over the past ten years.

Hyung Jun left a lengthy message for fans on his Instagram, thanking them for supporting SS501 for such a long time, while Kyu Jong left shorter messages celebrating the anniversary. Kyu Jong also posted a message on his official Facebook page.

The video that the three shared features each member putting his fingers to his lips, as if there is a secret they were keeping from fans.

Later the same day, Kim Kyu Jong shared a picture of the group as a whole on Facebook.

Leader Kim Hyun Joong and the group's final member Park Jungmin were absent from the pictures. Kim is currently serving in the Korean military, while Park will enlist in the military on July 2.

The three members who met up were the members of SS501 subgroup SS301. The whole group last reunited publicly in 2013, at Heo Young Saeng's farewell event before enlisting in the Korean military.

SS501 was one of the most popular acts in South Korea and the group's songs "Making A Lover" and "Because I'm Stupid" became widely successful after being featured in the drama Boys Over Flowers. The group is on hiatus and the members have pursued careers as solo singers and actors.
