Epik High Shock 30 Fans In Times Square Flash Mob When They Show Up To Cheer Them On [VIDEO]

The members of South Korean rap group Epik High stunned a flash mob of 30 fans in New York City's Time Square on Wednesday, when they showed up for the dancers' performance.

To celebrate Epik High's two shows at the Best Buy Theater in New York City this weekend, the K-pop-inspired dance crew I Love Dance planned to welcome the band with a flash mob in Times Square on Wednesday.

But they couldn't have expected it to go down like this.

"I went to the studio, they put a call out and said, 'some artists want you to come and support them,'" said I Love Dance crew member Danielle HM Campbell.

"We were all down for it so we came out, gave them positive love and energy. That's what it's all about."

But the dancers were in for a major surprise came when all three members of Epik High arrived at the flash mob to cheer on the dancers and greet the fans.

Though the group's appearance didn't come as a shock to everyone. After hearing of the planned flash mob, Epik High rapper Tablo reached out to I Love Dance on Twitter and even hyped the event on his personal Twitter page.

"We took time to put dances together," said I Love Dance founder MJ Choi, who choreographed the flash mob. "We practiced. It very nice of them to actually come out and meet their fans."

Epik High's North American tour is taking the band across the United States and Canada, but it hasn't stopped enthusiastic K-pop fans from traveling great distances to meet them.

"I'm going to both shows and after-parties," said 27-year-old Kaori Yasunaga, who traveled from Japan and showed up to the flash mob on Wednesday. "I wanted to meet them more close up in New York, because there's a meet-and-greet. I want to see excited global fans."

Judging from Tablo's Instagram video of the event, there was no shortage of excitement when the band members arrived in person. According to a spokesman from Epik High's label YG Entertainment, the group just wanted to say thanks to their most devoted fans.

"The flash mob was set up by the I Love Dance crew and we wanted to come by and support," he said.

"If you were at the event you could tell it went awesome! We almost had too many people. The cops almost shut it down. But they were nice enough to let it happen, understanding that it was something fun and positive."

And for the I Love Dance crew, the dancers say they're just getting started, with their next flash mob planned for when K-pop boy band Bangtan Boys perform in New York City on July 16.

"We'll be doing BTS in July and I know Big Bang is coming back in October," Choi said. "We haven't planned anything yet, but we're thinking about it."
