Prince Michael Jackson Gets His First Job: MJ's Son's First Interviewees Include James Franco, Zach Braff, and Sam Raimi [PHOTO]

Michael Jackson's son, Prince Michael Jackson, got a job on Entertainment Tonight as an on-air correspondent. Prince Jackson's first interview aired today, Feb. 19

The 16-year-old Prince Michael Jackson has expressed that he wants to follow in his father's footsteps and get involved in the entertainment industry. Jackson landed the job as a special correspondent for the entertainment news show on CBS.

But unlike his father, Prince Jackson doesn't plan on pop stardom. He told ET, "I'm looking to become well-rounded as a producer, director, screenwriter and actor."

This weekend Jackson was initiated into the entertainment world at a press junket in Pasadena, interviewing the stars of Disney's new movie Oz: The Great and Powerful. The film is a modern take on The Wizard of Oz.

Jackson teamed up with ET's regular correspondent Brook Anderson to interview Oz actors James Franco and Zach Braff and director Sam Raimi about their film.

One thing Prince asked the Oz cast was for some tips for breaking into the entertainment business. Franco told the aspiring media star, "I always tell people, just go out and try, and stop waiting around or dreaming it's going to happen. Just go and start things on your own."

In a press release announcing his new role, Prince Jackson said, "I've been raised around stuff like this, so it was different being the interviewer instead of the one being interviewed."

Jackson's co-host commented that he seemed older and wiser than his 16-years, to which he replied, "That's what most of my people say. That was all thanks to my dad. He raised me right."

Last year, Prince was involved in conflict between Michael Jackson's siblings and the executors of his estate. The end result was that guardianship of Prince and Michael Jackson's other children Paris and Blanket was shared between Katherine Jackson and Tito Joe (T.J.) Jackson.

Despite the family turmoil he has faced in the past, Prince Michael Jackson has big dreams for his new job. He hopes one day to interview Peter Jackson of Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, because, "I just love the way he shoots [and how] he brings things and depicts it back to life. I used to study his movies with my dad, put the volume off and just watch it, just the shots to see how he put it together."
