Epik High Perform in New York For The 1st Time In 6 Years

Korean hip-hop group Epik High met with their US fans at their New York concert at the Best Buy Theater last Friday and Saturday.

Originally a one day concert, they added another day due to the the quick sellout of tickets.

 A day before the concert, fans held a flash mob performance in front of the theater and showed their support for the group. The group made a surprise appearance to the flash mob and had a great time with fans. Take a look at the flash mob here.

Masta Wu, who was on the show, “Show Me The Money” with Tablo, was invited as the opening guest for the encore concert.

With Epik High’s last visit to New York being 2009, this will be the first concert here in six years.

They performed a variety of different songs including their most recent songs, “Born Hater” and “Happen Ending.”

They also sang some fan favorites such as “Fly,” “Love Love Love” and “Free Music.”

Fans showed much support for the group and hoped the best for them.

“You guys deceiver to be adored by fans because you write great music,” wrote hyukki in a comment on Saturday on the flash mob Youtube video.

“I’m fan-girling so hard right now,” wrote Mary Samir in a comment last Friday on the video as well. “Epik High deserves it and I wish I was there.”

On Sunday, the group flew to Canada for their next concert which will be held at the Danforth Music Hall.

After their US tour, Epik High will return to Korea for a concert at Seogang University in July and August.
