Adam Lambert’s New Album Resonates Queen’s Current Frontman’s State Of Mind? Admits Having Peter Pan Syndrome

Queen frontman Adam Lambert's new album, "The Original High," reflects his current state of mind as the "American Idol" alum confessed to having the Peter Pan syndrome.

A review of the album by Lewis Corner for Digital Spy noted the track "There I Said It" is a representation of the whole album which suffered from some "lousy lyrics."

"The alt-R&B of 'Underground' is an intriguing concept for an Adam Lambert record, but for all its murky electronics and clicks, it doesn't really conjure the required atmosphere to work," Corner wrote.

"But the sheer powerhouse performance by Adam on this unapologetic ballad means by the end you're more than willing to overlook it," he wrote. "Luckily here - despite its handful of pitfalls - The Original High is a bold and tenacious modern pop record that he can call another victory."

The track "There I Said It," which is part of Adam Lambert's new album, also contains the line "I'm a grown-ass man/ And I don't understand/ Why I should be living in the shadows." The lyrics represent the Queen frontman's mindset at this point.

Adam Lambert explained to Details magazine, per Music News, where he said, "For the first time in my life, over the last year or two, I feel like I'm a f**king grown-up!"

"I definitely have a little dash of Peter Pan syndrome somewhere, where I always have a childlike attitude towards things. But I bought my first house this year, I have a business, I've done a lot for myself, and I've done a lot for my career," the Queen frontman added.

Adam Lambert added, "And all of a sudden, I'm realising: 'You know what? I'm a grown-ass man! I will not be talked to a certain way. I will not be treated a certain way.' Having self-respect is part of that, too. And I've had my ups and downs with that my whole life."
