Mark Hamill Returning? Rumor of 'Star Wars: Episode VII' Appearance

The original Luke Skywalker Mark Hamill shared his thoughts of returning to the "Star Wars" universe.

As Disney and Lucasfilm confirmed a new trilogy of "Star Wars" movies rumors began swarming of Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford of making their return .

After a new interview of Hamill with "Entertainment Tonight," some clarification has been provided. In the interview Hamill confirmed he is discussing with Kathleen Kennedy at Lucasfilm about reprising his role as an older Luke Skywalker.

"They're talking to us," Hamill said. "George wanted to know whether we'd be interested. He did say that if we didn't want to do it, they wouldn't cast another actor in our parts - they would write us out."

"I can tell you right away that we haven't signed any contracts," Hamill said. "We're in the stage where they want us to go in and meet with Michael Arndt, who is the writer, and Kathleen Kennedy, who is going to run Lucasfilm. Both have had meetings set that were postponed - on their end, not mine. They're more busy than I am."

Hamill mentioned about having "the whole gang" naming Fisher, Ford, Billy Dee Williams and Tony Daniels.

"I want to make sure that everybody's on board here, rather than just one," he insisted.

There were reports last week of Ford to have been confirmed to return as Han Solo, although this has not been verified by any official source.

"Star Wars: Episode VII" is to be directed by J.J. Abrams and tentatively set for a 2015 release.
