Concerts are no longer just for long time musicians. Idol groups that have been in the industry for 1-2 years are holding solo concerts and showing a rapid growth in the K-Pop industry. Due to the 'K-Pop syndrome', the worth and status of many rookie idol groups have gone up.

Last year, B.A.P debuted with their single, Warrior. Jus one year later, they are already preparing for their first solo concert, 'LIVE ON EARTH SEOUL' on February 23.24.

B.A.P is the first K-Pop rookie idol group to hold a solo concert in such a short amount of time. Their agency, TS Entertainment, revealed that their tickets sales sold out in 10 minutes for a 8,000 seat location. 

Their agency commented, "Even though it has only been one year since their debut, they have created a huge fan base. This concert will allow some members who are still not yet familiar to the public, to show off their individual skills. Leader Bang Yong Guk is preparing a self-composed song for the concert as well. They also received many love calls from other countries to hold a concert, but they felt it was right to hold their first one in Korea."

B1A4 also debuted last year and held their first solo concert after 1 year and 6 months. They held 2 concerts and sold out of their tickets in just 5 minutes. Due to their fan's requests, they held additional concerts, in which tickets sold out in just 10 minutes. 

For rookies, solo concerts is another way to market their group to the public. Through these solo concerts, rookie groups are able to get their name out there and appeal to the public eye. Also, many international fans come to Korea to see them as well, helping their name reach out to foreign audiences as well.

On the other hand, group MYNAME, who debuted in 2011, will be holding their first solo concert next month. Many fans are disappointed that they had to change their location and therefore reduce the amount of fans that can attend.

Rookie groups holding solo concerts is their new gateway to the public eye and another way to beat other rookie idol groups in expanding their name.
