Shinhwa Keeps Firm Hold On First In KPopStarz Mid-Year Polls

For the second day in a row, veteran group Shinhwa places first in all categories of the KPopStarz Mid-Year Awards, proving that this group still very much has what it takes to beat out the competition.

Coming in with 51.73 percent of the votes, Shinhwa's "Sniper" holds a tight grip on its first place ranking in the Best K-Pop Song category. INFINITE H's "Pretty" ranks second with 13.87 percent of the votes and EXO's "Call Me Baby" clinches third with 12.6 percent.

With 6.37 percent of the votes, Jung Yong Hwa's "One Fine Day" has a comfortable hold on fourth while Junsu's "Flower" and Big Bang's "Loser" still battle it out for fifth with 3 percent of the votes each. BTS's "I NEED U" has a slight lead over VIXX's "Love Equation", which made a surprising jump into the top ten. The two tracks are both strong contenders for sixth while F.T. Island's "Pray", Super Junior D&E's "Growing Pains" and SNSD's "Catch Me If You Can" are still in hot competition for seventh. 0.05 percent of the votes separate SHINee's "View", miss A's "Only You" and GOT7's "Around the World" as they vie for eighth. Jang Hyun Seung's "Ma First" comes into competition for ninth, going up against BoA's "Kiss My Lips" and Girl's Day "Hello Bubble" while EXID's "Ah Yeah" clinches tenth.

Widening their margin over second place in the category of Best K-Pop Group, Shinhwa comes in first with 48.2 percent of the votes while second place group, INFINITE, who lost a percent over yesterday's polls, comes in with 22.47 percent. With 11.29 percent of the votes, EXO still holds a decisive lead over the competition, making these three groups the obvious fan favorites.

With nearly 4 percent of the votes each, CNBLUE and TVXQ are in close competition for fourth while Big Bang clinches fifth. 0.1 percent of the votes stand between BTS and Super Junior as they compete for sixth while BEAST and VIXX battle it out for seventh. Rookie group GOT7 comes in just above their sunbaes, 2PM, giving JYP's two most popular boy groups a solid grip on eighth and ninth place. F.T. Island is holding their own in tenth but 2NE1 is hot on their heels, making a position in the Top Ten anyone's game.

In the category of Best K-Pop Artist, Shinhwa members Eric and Minwoo clinch first and second with 15.85 percent and 11.9 percent of the votes, respectively. JYJ's Jaejoong drops to third with 10.68 percent of the votes.

Shinhwa's Hyesung knocks U-Know Yunho out of fourth but with only 0.07 percent of a vote standing between them, it's impossible to tell who will clinch this spot in the rankings. Shinhwa's Dongwan clinches fifth while bandmates Jun Jin and Andy duke it out for sixth. JYJ's Yoochun has a tight grip on seventh while Junsu clinches eighth. EXO's Chanyeol and IU are in close running for ninth while CNBLUE's Jung Yong Hwa holds a slight lead over EXO's Baekhyun and TVXQ's Max Changmin, making the competition for tenth too close to call.

Will Shinhwa continue to dominate the polls in this year's mid-year awards? With twelve days left to vote, there's still plenty of time to get your favorite to the top so be sure to vote daily!
