Sam Smith Collaborating On A New Song With Disclosure For His Next Album?
Sam Smith is making a new song and is going back to where his music career all began.
According to a report on Billboard, Sam Smith is now working on a new track by collaborating with EDM duo Disclosure.
The singer also shared the good news to his fans on Friday over Twitter.
"New f*****g music Little Sailors," he said in post.
Disclosure followed over Instagram to share their collaboration with Sam Smith in a new song.
"That's right... Round two, here we go @samsmithworld," they wrote on Instagram.
It seemed to be raining good news in Sam Smith's world. He also posted on Instagram that his album "In The Lonely Hour" that earned him four Grammys, is still doing well.
"I have just found out I have sold 8 F*****G MILLION RECORDS of 'In The Lonely Hour' WHAT THE ACTUAL F**K," he wrote.
"In The Lonely Hour" is Sam Smith's first studio album. But according to his timeline on his website, he catapulted to fame when he was featured in Disclosure's song "Latch" in Oct. 2012.
"And so the Sam Smith story begins," the website said.
"This song is the first single from Disclosure's album 'Settle.' Sam writes all the lyrics and then of course sings on the song," it explained.
Disclosure is set to release its second album "Caracal" this September, according to Billboard. The album name according to the duo drew inspiration from the wild cat.
"A caracal is an incredible wild cat that I became fascinated with while on tour last year; I just love the way they look, their physical capabilities and their anonymity," Howard Lawrence of Disclosure said in a statement as quoted by Billboard.
"It felt like a perfect fit for our Wild Life brand too, so the Caracal made perfect sense as the lead visual for the new album and over the course of recording, it also felt like a natural title for the new record too," he continued.
The album will feature big names include Lorde as reported by Fader. It was not clear though, according to the article, if the Sam Smith new song that they are working on is meant for the said album or for the crooner's next album.
