Flash Finger Of SM Entertainment's Electronic Group BeatBurger Turns Up The Heat With DJ Set In Austin, Texas [EXCLUSIVE]

SM Entertainment DJ Flash Finger turned the party out in Austin, Texas during his recent appearance at a local night club.

As part of Demographics Entertainment's Hallyu Weekend on June 19 and 20, Austin night clubs Elysium and Karma hosted K-pop events for Austinites and those of the surrounding area headlined by Flash Finger from BeatBurger, SM Entertainment's electonic project group.

The first night was Demographics Entertainment's monthly 'I <3 KPOP' event with the latest and greatest in Korean music, while the second night featured live DJ sets including energizing beats from Flash Finger himself.

On June 20, Flash Finger performed at Elysium night club, a hot spot for K-pop lovers in the central Texas region, bringing with him strong EDM beats and amazing remixes. The renowned DJ was joined by others including Belmont, Ambition, and Jackie Sue for the high-energy event.

During his set, Flash Finger spun remixes of hot K-pop songs like Girls' Generation's "The Boys" and CL's "MTBD."

"My first remix was Baek Ji Young,” Flash Finger told KpopStarz following his set. “I did a remix for her and it was my first for a big artist.” But he certainly didn't stop there, gaining a reputation in the DJ scene for his inventive style and genre-sampling.

"These days I'm listening to 'Bang Bang Bang," he admitted of his current musical interests. "Big Bang's track is really nice; I think it's a really good fit with my type of song." He added that if YG Entertainment releases the acapella version, he would really enjoy remixing it.

Kiara W., who attended the event, stated that she “felt the music through her veins” during Flash Finger’s rendition of Big Bang’s “We Like 2 Party” and that it made her want “to dance all night long.”

Leanna G., who was also present for Flash Finger’s performance, recalled the experience. “I like his mixture between American and Korean songs," she said. "It really shows that he was making an effort to be a true Hallyu artist.”

“It was rad!” said another attendee, Evi Duncan. “It was so great, he was like a flash but with his fingers.”

Flash Finger and the other members of BeatBurger are busily preparing for their second album which will include their latest track, "Beat Goes On," featuring rapper MQ. A live stage performance of "Beat Goes On" was uploaded to SMTown's official YouTube channel on June 17.

"There will be a new release of BeatBurger's second album soon," Flash Finger said. "There are very good featuring artists on it."

As for what the future has in store, "these days I like to go to hip-hop clubs," he said. "Maybe on the next album, there will be some trap hip-hop music."

Flash Finger's recent appearance in Austin is just one of many K-Pop performances the Lone Star State has seen in recent months.  This year alone GOT7, Epik High, Crayon Pop, Hitchhiker, and many other Korean artists have travelled to meet their fans in Texas and Big Bang, JJCC, and BTS are all expected perform there later this year.

Looks like the hallyu wave is coming in strong through the Texas gulf!
