Lady Gaga, A-Rod Exchanging Tips On Hips: Pop Star And Slugger Receiving The Same Surgery From The Same Doctor [VIDEO]

Lady Gaga and A-Rod are both recovering from the same hip surgery received from the same doctor, according to the New York Post.

Who knew Lady Gaga and A-Rod were stressing the same body parts?

On Wednesday, Lady Gaga and A-Rod were seen arriving at the same time at their physician Dr. Bryan Kelly's office at New York City's Hospital for Special Surgery.

"Alex was at Dr. Kelly's office for a follow-up, while Gaga was preparing for surgery," a source close to Lady Gaga told the Post. "It's natural for anyone to be nervous ahead of this type of surgery, especially as a performer or athlete under tremendous pressure to make a quick recovery and be back at peak performance...Gaga was anxious, but Alex talked to her for a while and was able to reassure her."

This could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

In addition to previously treating the New York Yankees first baseman, Lady Gaga's doc is the associate team physician for the New York Giants and Major League Soccer team the New York Red Bull. Kelly is also a team consultant for hip injuries for the New Jersey Nets.

"Going in for surgery now," Lady Gaga tweeted on Wednesday morning at 8:31 a.m. "Thank you so much for sending me love and support. I will be dreaming of you."

The singer also posted a link on Twitter to an emotional thank you on her website that was a bit longer than 140 characters would allow.

"Monsters, You really gave me a lot of strength today," Lady Gaga wrote. "Everything happened so fast, but when it came time to face it I reflected on the many stories and experiences you've shared with me about your lives. Meeting you backstage, reading your letters, watching you communicate with fans from around the globe to form a community that supports one another--You have completely blown my mind. As they wheeled me into surgery today, I thought about all of your pain and perseverance, your unique family situations, school environments, health issues, homelessness, identity struggles -- sometimes you are so brave that it terrifies me. I wonder how it's even possible. So I thought to myself, I'm alive, I'm living my dream, and this is just a bump in the road. I'm grateful because this is temporary, and for some it is not. You have changed my life. I love you and am proud to be a part of your lives. If you can do it, I can do it too, and if we stick together we can get through anything. Love, Gaga"
