MC Hammer Says His Arrest For Obstructing An Officer Is Because of Racist 'Mall Cop': Rapper Tweets About Arrest, Shows California Police 'You Can't Touch This' [VIDEO]

MC Hammer was arrested in Dublin, Calif. Thursday on charges of obstructing an officer, according to CNN.

The "You Can't Touch This" rapper took to Twitter on Saturday to explain his version of the events that led to his arrest in the northern California town 25 miles east of Oakland.

"Chubby Elvis-looking dude was tapping on my car window," MC Hammer tweeted. "I rolled down the window and he said 'Are you on parole or probation?'"

"While I was handing him my ID he reached in my car and tried to pull me out the car but forgot he was on a steady donut diet," Hammer continued in additional tweets detailing how he felt about being arrested. "It was comical to me until he pulled out his guns, blew his whistle and yelled for help (Mall Cop)!!! But make no mistake, he's dangerous."

MC Hammer wrote in his Twitter posts that it was the police officer's fear and racism that led to his arrest.

"Only thing more dangerous than a scared man with a gun, is a scared man with an agenda, a gun and a badge" Hammer wrote. "I was citied for obstruction. Smh [shaking my head]. You have to know me to understand I was laughing when he was grunting and pulling on me. I had just left the weight room. I will now answer his question: contrary to his personal beliefs, all people of color are not on parole or probation fat boy!!!"

Dublin Police spokesman Herb Walters told CNN that it was MC Hammer's combative behavior after the rapper was found to be driving in a vehicle that did not belong to him with an expired registration, that led to the rapper's arrest.

"After asking Hammer who the registered owner was he became very argumentative and refused to answer the officer's questions," Walters said on Saturday.
