Goo Hara To Debut As A Soloist Immediately Following KARA's 'Cupid' Promotions

Seven years after her debut with girl group KARA, Goo Hara will be launching as a solo artist next month, reports Koreaboo.

Hara's solo debut was confirmed by multiple music insiders. Her solo debut song is scheduled to drop on the third week of July, immediately after KARA finishes promotions for their latest song "Cupid."

When asked for confirmation, KARA and Hara's agency DSP Media said the solo debut plans are still subject to change.

A separate report from Newsen revealed that Hara has already filmed her solo music video on June 22, and the idol will be showing both her cute and sexy side as a solo artist.

In an earlier interview with Marie Claire, Hara had said that she was preparing for solo album set for July and had asked fans to look forward to its release.

Hara will be joining a heavy lineup of comebacks in July, which include Girls' Generation, SISTAR, AOA, Girls' Day, Big Bang, 9MUSES and more.

With many popular girl groups also returning with new music in July, online commenters expressed worry on whether Hara will find enough support for her solo debut.

Most Hara fans are cheering on the idol's brave solo debut plans, but harsher commenters made negative remarks on the idol's ability to sing solo.

"What makes her think she can pull this off," and "She's going to debut as what? A singer? She's just a dancer, a pretty dancer," said critical commenters.

Do you think Hara will hit a homerun as a solo artist?
