Harper's Bazaar Plans July Feature About G-Dragon's PEACEMINUSONE Art Exhibit

Big Bang leader G-Dragon will be talking about and showcasing pieces of his "PEACEMINUSONE" art exhibit in the July issue of Harper's Bazaar, reports Koreaboo.

G-Dragon's art exhibit is currently being shown at the Seoul Museum of Art until August 23, after which it will also open for viewing in Shanghai, China and Singapore.

The magazine will be publishing photos from the exhibit as well as interview with G-Dragon.

"PEACEMINUSONE" opened earlier this month on June 9 with modern art pieces that G-Dragon made in collaboration with 11 notable Korean and international artists and architects, including Gwon Osang and Michael Scoggins.

While G-Dragon fans had been quick to praise the idol for his multi-faceted interests not only in music, but also in fashion and now art, domestic art critics have labeled some of his work in the exhibit as "commercial products disguised as art," reports The Korea Herald.

Still, this has not fazed G-Dragon, saying that he has always enjoyed painting and believes that criticisms towards his artistic expression will temper over time.

"I have experienced in my music career that controversy can sometimes cast positive effects. I think the criticisms are there now because this is the beginning of my attempts at producing modern art. I'm sure in the long run, the perceptions will improve," G-Dragon reportedly said.

G-Dragon and the rest of Big Bang have been spending the last few weeks promoting their new songs "Bang Bang Bang" and "We Like 2 Party" and are expected to drop a new release on July 1.
