2013 Oscars Result: Jennifer Lawrence Wins Best Actress Award for 'Silver Linings Playbook'

The annual 85th Academy Awards set for tonight at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

Last year Meryl Streep grabbed the Best Actress award for her role in "The Iron Lady" with her portrayal of Margaret Thatcher, prime minister of the United Kingdom.

Among this year's nominees includes the youngest Best Actress nominee ever Quvenzhane Wallis at nine-year-old for "Beasts of the Southern Wild." She was seen with full of excitement on the red carpet. Critics believe Jennifer Lawrence will most likely win for "Silver Linings Playbook," although Jessica Chastain could provide formidable competition.

Now the winner is announced to be as expected Jennifer Lawrence for Best Actress.

Lawrence was competing against Naomi Watts for "The Impossible," Jessica Chastain for "Zero Dark Thirty," Emmanuelle Riva for "Amour," and Quvenzhane Wallis for "Beasts of the Southern Wild" in the same category.

The 85th Annual Academy Awards is at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday. It will air live on the ABC Television Network at 8:30 p.m. ET in the United States as well as in more than 255 countries worldwide. It will be hosted by Seth MacFarlane.
