[BREAKING] Sulli Reportedly Leaves f(x) After Months Of Speculation

Korean media outlets report that f(x)'s Sulli has left the girl group.

Sulli (Choi Jin Ri), a member of SM Entertainment's female K-pop quintet f(x), left the group officially, reported the Korea Herald on June 25. The announcement comes after months of the member's absence from f(x), and minimal public appearances.

f(x) will continue on as a four member act with remaining members Amber, Luna, Krystal, and Victoria. The group is currently in the midst of preparing for an autumn comeback.

Industry insiders told the Herald that Sulli plans to focus on her acting career during the remainder of her contract with SM Entertainment, which has not yet expired. Sulli previously appeared in the 2014 films "The Pirates" and "Fashoin King," and starred in the 2012 drama "To The Beautiful You."

In July 2014, Sulli took a break from the Korean entertainment industry due to the stress of rumors relating to dating rumors revolving around Sulli's relationship with Dynamic Duo's Choiza. The two later confirmed their relationship, and Sulli ended her hiatus to attend several public events. The events led to speculation that Sulli would eventually leave f(x).

With the reports, Sulli became the fifth SM Entertainment idol group members to have left her group in the past two years, joining Girls' Generation's former member Jessica Jung, and at least two former members of EXO, Kris (Wu Yi Fan) and Luhan. A third member of the same boy band, Tao, is currently in talks with SM Entertainment regarding his future with the company.

Sulli was last featured on f(x)'s latest album "Red Light," which came out in July 2014. Promotions for the title track were cut short due to Sulli's absence.
